Can’t make it to The Australian in Sydney this week for the Emirates Australian Open?
No worries – you still won’t miss a shot!
Host broadcaster Channel 7 and Golf Australia are offering two brilliant new methods of following the tournament, regardless of where you are.
Australian Open Radio, a hit last year on debut, will again be available through earpieces on course, but will be heard by many more around the world streamed via the tournament website www.ausopengolf.com and the official Emirates Australian Open app.
For the first time, it will also be simulcast on Melbourne radio station SEN for much of Sunday’s final round.
Commentators include golf professional, architect and writer Mike Clayton, Scottish journalist John Huggan, professional and broadcaster Mark Allen along with on-course reporting from Golf Australia's media manager Mark Hayes, senior writer Martin Blake, television and radio broadcaster Andrew Maher and Golf Australia's high performance manager Matt Cutler.
It includes live commentary from on course as well as interviews with players, as well as general chat about the game.
Seven’s coverage will be streamed live on the Plus7 app, with coverage available on any mobile device.
The Seven team will be led by commentary doyen Peter Donegan, with expert commentary from major championship winners Ian Baker-Finch and Wayne Grady alongside former touring pro Grant Dodd and veteran golf commentator Pat Welsh around the course.
The Seven coverage begins each tournament day from 12pm AEDT.
