Connor, tell us a little bit about your time in Australia this year.
Yeah it’s been amazing getting out here, we left on the 1st from the UK and obviously been really excited about coming out here for a wee while since I found out about it at the back end of it last year. The help from Aberdeen Asset management and the Scottish golf scholars that come out here, it’s been awesome.
Have you enjoyed the courses that you've played?
Royal Melbourne was tough, it played quite lengthy, so I guess it has a home feel to it in that sense and obviously made it through it and got on really well down there (at the Australian Amateur). Metro and Kingswood were really nice courses as well and I really had a good time around there.
What's your plan in 2016 with your golf?
We are going to Alaska. We are leaving here on the 25th to go play in a few tournaments down there, it’s quite busy, we are then over at Spain after that and we go home at the start of March. Quite a full calendar throughout the year, I’m looking forward to it and for a good season.
As a part of the national squad in Scotland, does that pretty much make you a full time golfer?
Yeah I work a little bit for my dad, he has a driving range back home in Scotland so I do a few hours in there, which is not the worst place to do some work. I can still practice and stuff when I’m there, so I do a bit of that and pretty much full-time golf to be honest.
