Green in touch

Sportal Australian Richard Green has fired a three-under-par round of 69 to be just five strokes from the lead after the third round of the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship in the United Arab Emirates. The left hander fired four birdies on the opening nine, before dropping his only shot of the round on the back nine to finish at eight-under-par in equal 15th position, to trail leader Padraig Harrington. Harrington carded a third round of 68 to take a one shot lead into the final round, while Peter Hanson, Miguel Angel Jimenez and Shiv Kapur are ready to pounce just one stroke behind. The Irishman nailed an eight foot putt on the last hole to gain the lead, and the 35-year-old knows he has to play just as well in the final round if he is to kick of his year in style. “I&aposve done particularly well for three rounds and haven&apost seen the scoreboard until the 18th green each day, so I certainly won&apost be looking at one individual out there,” Harrington told europeantour.com. “I will be looking at only one individual and that will be me. I won&apost worry about anyone else. ” Nick O&aposHern fell out of contention during the third day to finish at five-under-par, after a round of 75, while compatriot Brett Rumford is a further stroke behind after carding a 72. Fellow Australians Terry Price and Matthew Millar are also out of contention, with Price at two-under-par after shooting a round of 71 and Millar one-over-par after a 75.
