Australian Adam Blyth has fired a final round of 71 to finish in sixth place behind Korean veteran Lee Sung at the Bangkok Airways Open. Blyth started the day nine strokes behind Lee and made little impression during the final round, finishing eight shots adrift of the winner at eight-under-par. Prayad Marksaeng closed with a round of 66 to finish in outright second place, three shots behind Lee at 11-under-par, while Taichiro Kiyota and Prom Meesawat shared third place at nine-under. Lee was ecstatic with his victory, paying special credit to his caddie and brother Lee Sung-joo “I am extremely happy with my win today, thanks to my brother who has been very good this week. I hope to have him on the bag for the rest of the season,” Lee said. “I have been working on my swing with my brother for the past two years and it finally paid off this week.” Australian Mitchell Brown shot a final round of 62 to equal the course record at the Santiburi Samui Country Club layout and finish in a tie for 15th place at four-under-par, while compatriot Neven Basic and New Zealander Brad Iles were two shots further back in equal 18th place.
