Aussie falls behind

Aaron Baddeley has fallen to eight shots off the pace after the third round of the PGA Tour&aposs season-opening Mercedes-Benz championship at Kapalua. The Australian carded an even-par round of 73 to remain at five-under par for the tournament, as several big names made their move. Canadian Mike Weir fired a five-under-par 68 to move into the outright lead at 13-under par, one stroke ahead of American Nick Watney. Daniel Chopra, who shot an impressive six-under par 67, and Jonathan Byrd are tied for third at 11-under par. Weir played in an all-Canadian pairing with Stephen Ames and found himself tied for the lead with Ames for much of the round. Weir went back in front when Ames bogeyed the 10th and he added birdies at holes 12, 14 and 18 coming in. Ames was a shot back to start the day and is in fifth at 10-under par after signing for a three-under 70. Jim Furyk moved into contention at nine-under par with the round of the day, a seven-under par 66.
