Smith sets early pace at Riversdale

West Australian Kristie Smith posted a three-under 70 to lead after the opening round of the prestigious Women&aposs Riversdale Cup in Victoria. Smith continued her recent positive form and leads by one shot from Julia Boland and two from the Victorian duo of Grace Lennon and Stacey Keating. Maggie Yuan from The Glades is outright fourth at even-par. Boland and Lennon are currently tied for the lead in the Carbeenthon Trophy standings on a nett score of 69 while Smith and Kerrie Klose are just one shot back. Boland is also leading the National Teams Event alongside Jessica Noh on a score of 150 – one better than Jessica Parker and Stacey Keating.
