Price claims Nationwide prize

Aron Price became the fourth Australian to win on the Nationwide Tour this year after holding off American JJ Killeen on the second play-off hole at the Livermore Valley Wine Country Championship. The 25-year-old from Sydney bogeyed the final hole of regulation play to force the play-off before he triumphed on the second extra hole to claim the $117,000 first prize. Starting the final round four shots back, Price surged up the leaderboard with a 72 as Killeen hit five bogeys to fall back. The Australian held a one-shot lead when Killeen bogeyed the 14th but another dropped shot on the 18th ensured the tournament went into a play-off. Price is the fourth Australian to win on the Nationwide Tour in just six events, joining Jarrod Lyle (Mexico Open), Ewan Porter (Moonah Classic) and last week&aposs winner Gavin Coles (Chitimacha Louisiana Open). Victorian Marc Leishman also finished in the top 10, closing with a final-round 74 to finish in a tie for ninth.
