Australian pair Jason Day and Steve Elkington are five shots off the lead with one round to go at the Travelers Championship. The Aussies are on 10-under overall and in a share of 15th position – 14 spots down from outright leader Stewart Cink (15-under) who closed with consecutive birdies in the third round to take a two-shot advantage. Day and Elkington both posted rounds of 66 to take their three-day total to 200 while their compatriot Nick O&aposHern sits two shots further back on eight-under. Cink fell into a share of the lead with Heath Slocum following a bogey at the par-three 16th, but recovered to roll in birdie putts at his final two holes to finish off a solid five-under-par 65 which moved him to 15-under overall. The American has been consistent throughout the year after claiming two runners-up berths, a pair of thirds and six top-10 finishes in 14 events. “I think if I could get to 20-under tomorrow, I will have given myself a really good chance to win,” said Cink, who finished 14th at last week&aposs US Open. “So it would be great to get to 20 and finish there.” Slocum, who is in contention for his first title of the year, signed for a 64 to move onto 13-under. Kevin Streelman (62), Vijay Singh (64), Tommy Armour III (65), Kenny Perry (65) and defending champion Hunter Mahan (67) all are three shots off the lead. Streelman, who led after the first round of the US Open, followed up his second-round 63 with an even better round on a gorgeous day at the TPC River Highlands, carding six birdies and an eagle during his bogey-free round.
