Allenby falters in third round

Robert Allenby has fallen further off the pace after a disappointing third round left him in a tie for seventh place at the Honda Classic in Florida. The Victorian produced a mixed bag of three birdies, three bogeys and a double-bogey in his two-over 72 that saw him drop from equal-second at the start of the day. Allenby – who led by a shot after the first round – is at four-under overall, three shots behind Korean leader Y.E Yang who carded an even-par round of 70. Fellow Aussie James Nitties also signed for a 70, leaving him at three-under in a share of 13th place, while Greg Chalmers is a further shot back at two-under. Americans Jeff Klauk and Jeff Overton share second place at six-under behind Yang, whose compatriot Charlie Wi produced a day&aposs equal-best round of five-under 65 to soar into a tie for fourth place at five-under. Of the other Australians in the field, Nick O&aposHern is equal-37th after a one-under 69, while John Senden is at three-over and Marc Leishman a shot further back. New Zealand&aposs Tim Wilkinson fired a three-over 73 to sit in a share of 64th place at five-over.
