Glamour Girls of Golf to Heat up Fairways (Again!)
rn
The girls of Australian professional golf are set to take up where they left off in 2007 with the launch of the 2009 Australian Women of Professional Golf Calendar. Featuring the hottest golfing talent on and off the course, players have left behind any controversy that surrounded the first calendar, to focus on raising the profile of Australian Ladies Professional Golf alongside raising much needed funds for this year&aposs calendar charity, Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The Calendar includes not only 11 of the games most exciting emerging talents, but also a reproduced image of the original calendar girl, Australian golfing legend Jan Stephenson, in her famous “bath full of golf balls” shot from 1986. “The support since announcing a second calendar has been overwhelming” says project founder Jenny Sevil. “I am proud the first calendar made people stand up and take notice of the fabulous talent we have emerging here in Australia” she says.

Sevil has announced a major naming rights sponsorship with the Australian Ladies Professional Golf (ALPG) organisation for the 2009 issue. Sevil stated “the support from the ALPG as the naming rights sponsor has been instrumental in the continuation of the calendar project and together we are proud to present the girls as they really are – fit, attractive and sexy young woman who are a credit to themselves and to the sport of Ladies Professional Golf in Australia”.
