California&aposs Christine Song earned her first professional victory on Sunday at the Ladies Titan Tire Challenge. A flawless final round of 5-under par 67 saw her complete victory by six shots from a trio of fellow American’s; Whitney Wade, Mo Martin and Hannah Jun.

rnSong began the final round tied for the lead at 6-under par with England’s Jodi Ewart, with a dozen players within three shots. Both Song and Ewart played the front nine in 1-under par, 8 straight pars and then a birdie on the 9th hole. Making the turn and their fortunes took completely different directions. Ewart made four bogeys to fall back to a tie for 5th while Song made 4 birdies to run away with it. No other players made a challenge for the title and after her round she said, “It feels really good. I’m excited for the next few weeks. Hopefully I can win next week as a birthday present to myself.”

rnThere was a good showing from the ALPG Members where Rachel Bailey posted her best finish for the season in a tie for 10th at 1-under par. Leanne Bowditch and Sarah-Jane Smith finished just one shot back in a tie for 12th while Bree Arthur also posted her best finish in her rookie season in a tie for 20th.
