AUSTRALIAN WOMEN S AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP – PRESENTED BY AUDI World Number 1 New Zealander Lydia Ko and Victorian Grace Lennon shared Medallist honours after qualifying at the Australian Women’s Amateur Championship. Ko, the defending Amateur champion, fired rounds of 69 and 71 to share the lead with Lennon at 6-under par who finished with consecutive 70s. Western Australian Minjee Lee is in a tie for third with Japanese pair Asuka Kashiwabara and Kotone Hori at 4-under par after the two rounds. Lee s fellow Western Australian Tatiana Wijaya finished at 3-under par. The first round of knock out Match Play is held on Thursday at Commonwealth Golf Club. West Australian Watt posted rounds of 66 and 70 to finish at 8-under par and earned the top seeding in the Match Play. Victorian Todd Sinnott backed up his first round 66 with a second round 71 to finish at 7-under par in outright second. Englishman Nathan Kimsey is the joint leading international player at 5-under par in a tie for third with New Zealander Sam An. New South Welshman Dale Brandt-Richards finished at 4-under par tied with German Dominic Foos. The first round of knock out Match Play is held on Thursday at Commonwealth Golf Club.
