Genesis AO Radio will roar back to life in November.
Already a hit with crowds at The Australian Golf Club, the coverage last year expanded to reach tens of thousands of online listeners around the globe.
Golf Australia head of media and digital John Sutherland was delighted to bring the critically acclaimed Genesis AO Radio back to The Australian.
"We started here with it in 2014 and it has steadily built since," Sutherland said.
"This year we will have 7,500 earpieces on course and they will again be made available free.
"We have had really good feedback in previous years because of the dynamic nature of our coverage and an ability to get to where the action is happening.
"So for online fans, or for those nestled in a grandstand, Genesis AO Radio is a really good way of keeping track of everything around the course."
Crocmedia will facilitate production of the broadcast which fans will be able to hear via the Emirates Australian Open app and the mobile-friendly Emirates Australian Open website at www.golf.org.au/ausopen from November 23.

Fans coming to The Australian have the option to bring their own earphones so they can listen via their smartphone as they watch play.
The Genesis AO Radio team comprises host Mark Allen, Andy Maher, Mark Hayes, Martin Blake, Mike Clayton, John Huggan and Matt Cutler with a mixture of studio guests and live on-course action.
Broadcast hours are from 11am-4pm Thursday and Friday and 12-5pm on Saturday and Sunday (all times AEST).
Fans are encouraged to bring their earpiece back with them each day instead of collecting a new one.
