Queensland Golf Foundation Brooch Competition
This event is played in three divisions over six stroke rounds, as arranged by Clubs. As the event has a closing date of 10 September 2018, it is advisable to complete this event in August. It is suggested that this event be played in conjunction with your Club’s Monthly Medal rounds from March to August. The winner of each division at Club level receives a Queensland Golf Foundation Brooch, and this is determined by calculating which player has returned the best three nett scores over the period. Best nett is determined in relation to the DSR. Scorecards are now not required as fees have been increased slightly to allow all ties to be awarded joint winners. The fee is $3.50 per player. Volunteers
The Queensland golf industry relies heavily on thousands of volunteers giving their time freely to support the sport. This varies from supporting their local golf club, Golf Queensland’s High Performance Team or getting involved in school programs. Regardless of the activity, it is impossible to put a value on the enormous contribution that volunteers make to the community.

Tournament Support Group
Tournament Support Group (TSG) members are an integral part of Golf Queensland's delivery of tournaments and their support ensures that Golf Queensland can conduct professional and efficient events. At tournaments, members will also referred to as Rules Officials and whilst the Rules of Golf are an important element of the role, there are many other aspects of the role that are just as important.
Community Coaches
“Give something back to the community”
Community golf coaching can be a very rewarding experience for both the player trying to improve their skills, and the coach assisting in the development of a golfer. Coaches are integral in golf because they often provide the first experience for beginners and are vital in developing golfers of all standards.
In addition, Community Coaches are often volunteers who actively contribute to the development and growth of junior golf. Future successes within the sport rely heavily on Community Coaches and their involvement at a Club, School or Community level.
